I'm thinking of getting a Wii U with 2 controller and mario kart. Anyone want to say anything about it? How much would that cost?

It's ok. Definetly not an 8th gen console. It's mostly aimed at kids. I'd recommend a PS4 or Xbox one instead.

You can use the old Wii controllers for Mario Kart. I wouldn't say it's aimed at kids so much as it's "the system you can play Nintendo games on."

Check out fucking Bayonetta 2 and Super Mario 3D World. You can find a Mario bundle for less than $300. There's also a new Zelda game due this year. Metroid someday.

It's worth it for the Nintendo games alone, but I would be surprised if there's more than 10 games that are "must play" throughout that console's lifecycle. Would be great for your kid.

I don't think Mario Kart is great, it's extremely well made this time, but it's the same game it always has been.

The Donkey Kong Country game is rad too.

Mario Kart seemed really fun on it. I like the idea of using the screen on the pad to play too. Also, the lego city game that it originally came out with was awesome. I have steam, a PS3, and a surface pro 2 so I don't really need anymore of a "gaming" rig. I just think this would be fun. Eventually, I would get a PS4 probably, but I have no need to. How much would a 2 controller bundle be? Do they have a 2 controller bundle with Mario Kart? When do you think they will replace the Wii U? I've been sort of hemming and hawing about it since I keep thinking they will up the specs on it.

Right it's definitely not a gaming rig but a Mario rig. All the Nintendo games are flawless and yeah the pad is very nice to play a full game on. BUT you can only use ONE of those pads at a time with the console. Mario Kart and some of the other games like Smash can use any Nintendo controller since Gamecube. So you can find 2 old Wii controllers for nothing.

I got a P$4 for xmas, it's a slick machine that has no games I don't already have for PC except GTA and The Last of Us (which I played LAST YEAR) but at least I can play FIFA online without lagging to Brazil.

They will not replace the WiiU for years and the specs will stay the same. Nintendo needs to put it's entire deck into the WiiU for a while, a new console won't be in the cards for them for a long time. They might cycle it out a year or three before we'll see the PS5, which won't be for a decade.

What's on either of those consoles that's actually worthwhile? I haven't heard of anything even remotely interesting on either of those.

Get Bayonetta and Wind Waker. Dude, that NX is an idea right now. Give it 4 years at least.
