I thought it was sick how Skid Row actually went in a heavier direction on their second release, as opposed to a lot of mainstream bands who started out heavier (Y&T, Quiet Riot, Magnum, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, etc) and then went more commercial later on.

I used to play youtube clips of army rock (Three Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin, Nickelback, etc.) as a joke when friends were over, now if I hear one on the radio even by myself, I'll blast it. Terrified to think it might've crossed over into genuine enjoyment.
