New site? Maybe some day.
I've been taking antibiotics for two days. I got symptoms about 3 or 4 days ago. Got a nice big bullseye rash. I don't feel any better yet. Has anyone ever had this. I'm wondering if I might have something else. |
The curse of Plum Island. |
My mother had it; it made her feel like shit for a month or two. Have fun! |
My brother has it thankfully. He is a dick. Anyway, he has horrendous joint pain and flu like symptoms all the time thankfully. He was bit four years ago.
Thankfully. |
at least he has supportive family members to help him through the situation |
Yes, it is very loving, whatever that means. |
I'm almost starting to think I have this, but I never got the rash. So I'm not positive but every other symptom is legit (especially fucking knee pain!!!). Good luck though, man. |
Are you being serious Rev? |
if you think you have it, go to the DRs now and be safe. otherwise, you risk permanent neurological issues. |
Left untreated, Lyme disease can cause:
* Chronic joint inflammation (Lyme arthritis), particularly of the knee
* Neurological symptoms, such as facial palsy and neuropathy
* Cognitive defects, such as impaired memory
* Heart rhythm irregularities

I need to see that movie. |

Yeah, in all seriousness Lyme Disease is no joke, that shit can fuck you up for a long time. I have had friends that had it, they were not happy campers. |
the poster aaron(ex-tnc)'s son had it and he didn't think about himself. the kid got better right away. 4 months later, he was all f'd up and it took him a long time to get better. |
i had it at age 11. symptoms i remember: felt like someone was slowly
moving a red hot steel spike thru the center of my spine/vertebrae, hot
and cold spells that would drastically change within matters of minutes (i
was in the waiting room, in summertime, wearing a sweatshirt&jacket one
minute, and then ripping them off and suffering extreme heat w/just my
t-shirt on the next minute), joint pain, the beginning of my severe
depression that has still not subsided til this day (~14 years later), and the
bullseye rashes only came 2 months into it. ***THE FUCKED UP THING:
when I finally got the rashes, the biggest was around my belly button.
where was the ONE SINGLE PLACE i nor my parents/doctors looked for a
tick? yup, tucked inside the upper part of my belly button :*(
FUCKING BASTARD WAS STILL ATTACHED.
lol, Lyme Disease was the beginning of my true knowledge of suffering.
a giant FUCK YOU to the town of LYME, CONNECTICUT!!!!!! (and nature in general) |
Going to the ER. I think I've got this. SWEET!!1
Only a big bulls eye on your leg is real. |

MFW i realized this thread wasn't about scurvy

My kid has it. |
u guys nd 2 deep woods OFF |
it's no big deal. goes away in a few days after taking antibiotics, but still finish the bottle! if you're not feeling like shit yet it'll be a breeze. if you've been feeling like shit for a day or two you'll be in hell for another day or two then it will go away. |
BTW: my kid might have had this |
don't know if you're kidding or not, but this doesn't go away unless treated, and it fucks you up if you don't treat it |
lol @ same anon posting a year later |

I think I've had Lyme Disease for 20 years. |
Yeah, daycare sent him home with the bullseye and he wen right to the drs. Got antibiotics. |
i had it, got the bullseyes and the worst headache of my life, ended up finding out my brain had swelled up. but had no permanent damage. i was in the hospital for 3 days |
I've got it. Was in the hospital until 11 last night. Huge bullseye. Oh well.
Too bad this was created in a lab on Plum Island. |
there is a possibility it will become permanent. |
fuck all ticks. i burn them whenever possible. |
There is a bird called ginnea fowl. If you have some land, you you get one. They look like a prehistoric monster and roam your yard eating ticks. |
Until this season I'd only found one on myself -ever- and I grew up camping every summer. This year has been really bad... found almost a dozen already. |
My "brother" is still fucked up by this disease. |
