doors just opened as I pulled up. no clue if there are openers.

the end: 7:30-8
cephalic carnage: 8:15-8:45
the red chord: 9-9:40
BTBAM: 10-11:15

weird that TRC isn't headlining.

end, the: good stuff. The new CD sounds a bit doors-y. I'm not sure I like it, but like it was really good. The singer does some vocals that I could do without, eh. There was a tiny bit of moshing during one song. That was about it. People just stood around appreeshing.

this venue sounds awesome, but is hard for me to get around with over 200 bodies. don't expect good pictures please.

cephalic carnage: great set from them. they really got the crowd riled up. It was really hard at this point for me to get around. I turned around and scott (ex-the_network) was right behind me. They played the same tracks that they have been playing on this tour-circuit with the addition of black metal sabbath. I don't remember hearing that at summer slaughter or umm. NEMHF. they put on the masks for that and talked a bunch aboot the weed. Though, I think they stopped feeding the drummer or he got a personal trainer. He was looking quite slim.

I would like people to know how extremely hard writting reviews is right now. my G key and spacebar are messed up. you probably don't think that you use them all that much, but they are prett handy. my spacebar needs to be hit in the absolutely correct spot and my G sometimes prints nothing and other times prints 4 g's.

red chord, the: I doubt anyone out there got the "smile you are on return to the pit" joke the first time. Which was right at thw beginning. I was down in the pit for that one, getting pushed around... Wow, I remember what that was like now. Sucks getting kicked and covered with other dudes sweat. Especially when you have a camaera held straight out over your head. Guy once again said the "smile you are on return to the pit" during dreaming in dog years. People jumped around, including the robust in stature danny_p. When it was time for things to be ok, a bunch of girls jumped up on the mic around guy. It wasn't until the last part of the last verse that some dudes got in on it too. in all the years I don't think I've ever mentioned (in regards to TRC not BTSS) how I really like the way that gunface's vocals gave progressed over the years. Someday, he'll do backup vocals on a brutal truth CD (sounds from the animal kingdom parte deux?). The never guitarist is equally as talented. The kid learned all that stuff so quickly. Probably case he's anal and practices along to the CD constantly. I he will be able to contribute to the next CD in a creative fashion. Of course TRC just released a CD 2 weeks ago so their next CD will be out in time for the ironman movie (see folks, the joke here is that it SEEMS that clients JUST came out and they already have a new CD, prey for eyes.).

The End put on an incredible show....even with only 10 people watching.

you are more like a ninja if you were there and I didn't see you...

Nothing wrong with going alone. I do it all the time.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 4,2007 2:23am
ditto

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at Aug 4,2007 2:40am
I don't think I'll ever use "I don't want to go alone" as an excuse to miss a show again after missing Bones Brigade at Summer Camp and then they break up before I get a chance to see them.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 4,2007 2:55am
I did the same thing with reach the sky's last show.
lamerz

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Aug 4,2007 3:14am
hmmm...

the end don't look like unrepentant sodomites (as they do in all recent promo shots)

what gives?

did they still SOUND like foreplay to manlove?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 4,2007 3:21am
their promo shots are always of a tree or something

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Aug 4,2007 4:09am
i distinctly remember dudes who would benefit from a dash of unprettying

actually the last time i went to a place alone was the last time the red chord played in nashua.....

unless you count driving to metal fest and meeting up with people....
i just didn't want to drive an hour and a half by myself.
shows are more fun when you're with people.

i was actually thinking about coming up for this show but my friend from portland had to work. did BTBAM really play for an hour and 15???

i see a few people i know in these pictures. more of these kids need to come to DC/LCTR shows. well i guess weve never played portland yet. but ive only seen a handful at the augusta area shows.

I disagree.

I didn't even hear about this show until after it happened. I don't think I saw a single flyer around town.

toggletoggle post by corrado_images   at Aug 4,2007 12:40pm
what the hell...i never knew you were there until the red chord did the shout out and i didnt see you at all after that. Jesus
I have to say. BTBAMs guitarist in the red tee is the STIFFEST person ive seen play a live show. That might be part of his act but moving his head a little wouldnt be the worst thing in the world

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Aug 4,2007 1:20pm
did you ask BTBAM when the hell Glass Casket is going to play?

so much fun. towards the end of the sing along was the best because after everyone had pretty much fallen or jumped out of the sing along, my friend Chris and I were still on stage and Guy gave Chris the mic and put his arm around both of us and we sang the final chants.

awesome pics, Rev.

between the buried and me: vocals regressing back to how they sounded pre-silent circus. To those who think I'm made at the band, I never was. It was their label that dicked me over. they played one new song (out sept 18) in their hour-ish set. it had a jazzy part and some light pairs that sounded very radiohead. I know each CD since the s/t, you can tell what the band listened to. Maybe it was radiohead this time? I swear that I almost started off with "im a creep" at one point during the new song. During the part where Tommy is quietly saying "it's raining" I had the totally original urge to say "men". Bet no one else out there has ever had that urge before. IM SO ORIGINALZ! To the person yelling out "aspirations" in between EVERY song will be sadly let down I assure you.
To the kid that tried to hold people back in the pit, thanks. To the people I shoved coming in and out, blame the jlo culo.

I didn't realize RttP was there, and I was bummed cause I didn't know anyone that brought a camera. Nice coverage, it was insanely fun, and insanely hot.

hey, we could've run into each other and felt awkward cause I was wearing your bands shirt... It would've been fun. I do live about 2 and a half hours away from Augusta, but I'll try to make the next one you guys are up here for. We need some decent shows, I'm pissed I missed the Network tonight because of work. At least Ion Dissonance and TtEotD are coming up soon.
