Oh, it's $10 and the doors open at 7.

toggletoggle post by MadOakDevin  at Apr 3,2007 9:50pm
i'll be there. bummout that lord mantis couldn't get on this bill.

also, motherboar is shooting for a video.

toggletoggle post by RWAKE disintegrates planet earth at Apr 4,2007 12:32am
I hope MB has enough room to shoot the entire set that RWAKE plays. A band of pure genius: not to be missed.

I would gladly pay an easy $30 dollars for a single ticket.

Go meet RWAKE; go meet the sludgey men from Arkansas. Truly intelligent masters of body shattering music, lyrics, and advanced mindsets!

nice

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Apr 5,2007 6:35pm
sweet!

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 13,2007 12:51am
I guess I'm in charge of this show now. I'll see you guys there.

toggletoggle post by Greg D at Apr 13,2007 11:16am
Awesome. First a bit of this then off to Kinslayer's bash of ill repute.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 13,2007 11:16am
Yeah! I'd be going to that too... but responsibilities suck.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 11:19am
I was going to go to this show, but then I saw rich was in charge of it. if I do go, rich can you get me a SOA cd with my pictures in it?

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 13,2007 11:20am
Yep, I just set a copy aside for you.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 13,2007 11:31am
Doors open at 6.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 13,2007 12:54pm
Bloody Panda from NYC has been added to this. They'll be opening, and yes all the other bands are still playing.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 2:39pm
I was going to ask about bloody panda. is minsk and rwake playing the show in CT too?

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 13,2007 3:25pm
Unless the CT show is a real early matinee, I doubt it.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 13,2007 3:44pm
In fact, I thought I saw it posted that the CT show's lineup changed completely. I'm not sure though.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 5:17pm
the doors for this are at 7 not 6.

toggletoggle post by badsneakers at Apr 13,2007 6:03pm
going!

toggletoggle post by pam   at Apr 13,2007 7:15pm
I won't make this. People actually wanted to go, too. Why is this so early? Elk's club rules?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 7:56pm
um.. the first band just played.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 8:03pm
leisure: they only got 2 songs so it seemed like just when they got started, they had to end. A lot of the time, members would be walking around with nothing to do. The singer looked surprisingly like tomas lindberg. Please start spreading rumors about this.

So far, it seems like the show is a big of a mess. Rich is pacing up a storm and bands are all late n stuff. the crowd is sparce thus far. RRW on now.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 8:18pm
raw radar war: they were awesome. I thought they were going to play a normal length set. They had a huge set-list. I was disappointed in the end cause they only played for 10-15 minutes. The bassplayer broke a string and that was sort of lights out for their set. Sucks.

There still aren't too many people here. But it's improving.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 9:01pm
bloody panda: I'm pretty certain that members of this band are in disguise. Horrible disguises. and no, not the hoods. I'm talking the moustache! They had a ton of gear, but set up fairly quickly. granted their set up time was longer than the first 2 band's sets. It's too bad they couldn't play longer. The 2 songs that they did play were pretty awesome. The singer was this tiny asian girl who sort of chanted and echoy chant along with the music. some parts kicked in that really rocked. I swear that the drummer used to work at the friendly toast in portsmouth.

the bathroom smells like the set of that video where girls put squid in their who-who-dillies. like that time I walked by the back of the grocery store in chinatown and stumbled upon where all the fish-heads end up.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 9:55pm
motherboar: they set up lighting to shoot a video of this set. a ton of their friends and fans came in for their set. Not once did they ask the crowd to move. they just did. This band gets more and more fun each time they play. The crowd moshed around and there was even a person in a shark outfit. The dude that set up the lighting for the video had it all back lit. I wish there was some lighting coming in from the front, but naw, it was all from the back. I guess the guitar player (who is in mess with the bull) only has 2 shows left with the band.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 13,2007 9:56pm
rwake just got here. minsk is all set up and ready to play.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 14,2007 12:32am
pictures are processing.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 14,2007 12:34am
Fun show. The last seven hours were more of less the mosty stressful in my entire life, but fun show nonetheless. If anyone wants to bring booze or pills to my house so I can sleep that would be spectacular.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 14,2007 12:36am
I didn't read what rich just typed

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 14,2007 12:37am
rich, I think your problem is that you shared your alcohol with your roomie

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 14,2007 12:38am
I unwillingly did. If I let a beer on the table for more than five seconds, it was gone. What a lush.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 14,2007 12:41am
that's what happens when people stop being polite and start being real

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 14,2007 12:41am
Mad Real.

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 14,2007 12:46am
Motherboar was really rad and really not what I was expecting them to be like at all.

Also, the true face of madness--

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Apr 14,2007 3:00am
minsk: they were so tight. I don't know what it is about the drummer's kit, but it is so unique sounding. It's gotta be those smaller toms. I'm not one to just sit down and listen to their CD, but live, it's fantastic. Since rwake wasn't here yet, minskset up and played before they did. Actually, minsk set up and then helped load in rwake's gear before they started up. This leaves exactly one hour for both bands to play. Anyhow, they pulled it off. Go see this band.

rwake: 5 years later and I shoot them again. I've grown. They've grown. Life's move on and they have gained a bunch of members. From my vague noisey MMF 2002 memories, they were sort of noisey deathmetal. Now they are all doomy. They also have more dreads and 2 singers. Seriously, good stuff, but that was over shadowed by the excellent xmen tattoos on the singers forearms. Since they were late and only got to play a few songs, they promised to show up at 8am next time (june) so that they are at the club on time.

RRW was CRUSHING!!!

toggletoggle post by RichHorror  at Apr 16,2007 10:32pm
I heard from Jonah that afterwards Rwake and Minsk said this was the best show of the tour so far.
