Gonna be an awesome show, really looking forward to it. I cant wait to finally see HI6. I will bring some lift tickets to the festivities if all goes as planned.
I hope I don't oversleep. If I do, I demand that someone come to my house and shoot me in the face.
Maybe I'll just stay up all day and I'll be completely delirious when I show up. I'll probably get hit by a car, and fly into the air when I cross the street.
so, I've got to hand it to megan (this show's promoter). She did something that all shows should do, the openers (at least) use as much of the same equipment as possible. The first 3 bands are using seth's drums. This allows for more bands in less time with less deadspace. More of this please.
Witch Tomb: as I was walking up, I heard them on. Their set could have been 20 songs and still be over in 12 minutes. I saw cody covered in all his blacken face glory, but I unfortunately could snap off any pictures before they stepped off the stage since I was stuck at the door for their last song. Normally 7pm and 8pm shows at DeeDee's start at 9:15.
martyrvore: With all the excellent bands playing, these guys were the main reason I picked this show. They haven't play very many. I think I've seen 2 of their 3 shows. chris was playing though someone's (im assuming not his own) full stack. This majorly improved the sound from the first time I saw them. I had earplugs in, but the guitar would have been better turned up more since paul's vocals were so loud. The last time I saw them (dover brickhouse), I think that chris was playing through a practice amp and all the guitar just folded over on it's self. Here, you could hear ever thing. They did a blasphemy cover 'ritual' which I didn't know and paul kept holding up a cow skull. Good tiemes.
hekseri: thier setup spilled out on the floor. It sounded good, but once larissa turned up her cab, it sounded a whole hell of a lot better. Larissa also kept attacking the crowd. I think she power humped a half dozen people in the crowd with her guitar during one song alone. Notice I didn't call it rape, since the people were asking for it. they "ended" their set with a cover, but then had time to play one final song. It's funny how this band has changed, losing the goregrind parts they used to have and just becoming more blackend and blistering each time I see them.
baphomets horns: they also set up on the floor. It was a bit hectic cause they switched the drumset. these guys use triggers... But I couldn't her the triggers at all during their set. Looks like they got themselves a new singer and bassist in one? I don't think that was the old singer, but this guy knew all the songs and worked well with the band on stage. I'm going to just guess that it's the old bass player and they got him to sing? Either way, it don't matter cause the guy doing double duty could do it. They played that black witchery song that I didn't know again.

I wish I could of attended.
Oh but you would have missed all the FUN we had last night!!!
Yeah, thats true, I would of missed that dude with the glasses making a complete fool of himself. Joel and I could'nt stop laughing at him. Did you get any pics's of the goof?
Yea, not much acoustics there. The show had a decent vibe/turnout however.
I can't stand the "stage" at that place though. I remember when my old band abaroth brought the fog machine it made that place awesome though! haha. if I can recall, that place shorted out my halfstack as well... and I think something like that happen to some other bands too... can't remember.

that fucking fog machine drove everyone out haha.
i remember sin of angels blowing out the power to like half the club one time.
HI6 have some really interesting songs and that vocalist can hold his growls for like a minute straight !!
Witch Tomb was my favorite
think Greek black metal meets Incantation on a bad acid trip
Consecration of the furor? Is that a new song?
sounds interesting
I have a terrible hangover
glad I am back in Seabrook bub
that song is called "seal of bathin" and it's off the demo/4way
i thought we sounded like shit on stage but i just saw the video of our set and it really didn't sound that bad at all. way better than i thought it sounded. i think it has a lot to do with where you are standing in that place. martyrvore sounded awesome and was also my favorite of the night. the blasphmey cover was an added bonus.
Witch Tomb/Martyrvore split cd out on Old Cemetary Records in 2007.
hells infinite vi: the drumset is weird... It looks like it's slowly falling apart. when he looks like he's falling, he's really going for the snare. This is the 2nd time I've seen them. I don't know why but I remember the shorter guitarist having some amazing tone and doing a lot of riffs. they sound more like straight up raw blackmetal. but the sound for them blew goats. Every time the singer put the mic to his mouth, all you could hear was the stage left guitar blazing through the mic. In the end, they got an extra song, but there was a long pause after the "end" and they lost a lot of people who had wondered off. if you have never seen them before, I wouldn't judge this band on this set.

This was one of the best bills BH has ever been on. Every band fucking killed, Witch Tomb and Martyvore were my favorite, I never heard Hells Infinite VI before this show they were totally sick, and Hekseri was violent as rape. This was our first show with our new singer bassist he learned all the songs in about 3 weeks befor this show . Other than not have Bass at the bar, forgeting my gauntlets and my drummers kick drum head breaking this was one of the best shows ever played.
