gd, it's shows like this that make me feel only slightly wicked old. The redemption of me "feeling wicked old" came when I turned around and my mom was standing behind me. Instantaneously, my age was cut in 1/2. I was saved.

a timely demise: when I got down there, nothing was really mic'd at all. They slowly mic'd things up. the singer had this lame talking singing part, but his actual scream was really wide and deep. It sounded really good. It really really reminded me of some band, but I can't remember who. During their second to last song, they brought out the singer of BASB.

unscarred: The beginning songs had a lot of nu-metal singing (most people know how I feel about hose) and pantera riffs. As their set went on, they had less and less of the vocals that annoy me. the singer also looked like nate's (leukorrhea) sibling. At one point, they covered killswitch engage's last serenade. They honestly had more expensive gear than God. And since this is show was in his house, He's going to be pissed. they had to store 1/2 of it in jebus's room.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 3,2005 12:29pm
stoic: I keep thinking this is the band that does back flips for god. alas, this was not them. They were a weird mixture of a lot of musics from the cleaan singing parts of legia or screams of erida w/o the melodic parts... And it was all mixed with something the reminded me of mother love bone (ah! I need to add that band to another thread). Their sound actually reminded me of the hardcore band fall from grace (a guilty pleasure or myne). The good thing about their set was the singer's hi-energy. He actually had a lot of energy and moved through the crowd a lot.

Damn, Buried and still breathing played, And Anderson and I were not there. Guess we will have to pay closer attention to their website

I don't think you guys woulda' liked it anyways... basement of a church, they made you sign an agreement form at the door, no language, no pits, no bar, and no smoking. I mean I can deal with some of that, but a venue with no pits is always a rough night.... And it truly was a house of god, my guitarist had the halo to prove it...

Thanks for taking the pictures at the 12/2 crossing show reverend. They came out great. And thanks to anyone who enjoyed our set.

buried and still breathing: this was my first time seeing this band. I had wanted to see them for a long time. I'm sort of sad now that I didn't goto any of the shows at the bombshelter that they were on. then I could have gotten to hear them with excellent sound. they played really well and I know why serge booked them all the time. they have a lot of friends that come out to support them. they had the most ammount of fans dancing around for them.

i was at this show. and i have to say, unscarred absolutly sucked the ass of a one armed leper monkey with the HIV. Buried and Still Breathing was amazing, and it was awesome seeing the singer of ATD with them. Also, A Timely Demise blew the shit out of every band that played after them, i don't know why anyone would ever have them open a show. Stoic sucks balls too. Way too numetal yocore for me. there just shit-tacular.

" Also, A Timely Demise blew the shit out of every band that played after them"

whoa, I gotta play with them sometime. They're all chicks, right?

toggletoggle post by SeedBassist at Dec 5,2005 11:04am
We played shows with Stoic and Unscarred a year or so ago. Back then they were uber-numetal, both of them were. Now it seems that they're incorperating hardcore bits into their music because well, hardcore is popular nowadays ::rolls eyes::

toggletoggle post by TheWrldCanWait   at Dec 5,2005 4:35pm
No, ATD is not all chicks...I have no idea who told you that, but I can assure you that we're all guys.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Dec 5,2005 10:02pm
well that dude up there said you "blew" the shit outta' every other band... like as in oral sex... Taste Of Cigarettes was thrilled, and hoping you were all chicks... since ur not, blowin the other bands is kinda gross...

toggletoggle post by Justin_BASB   at Dec 5,2005 10:07pm
I did not have, sexual relations, with that band... that I'm aware of... I agree with anonymous though... A Timely Demise needed to play 3rd or 4th... not first.

toggletoggle post by TheWrldCanWait   at Dec 5,2005 11:01pm
There was no oral sex at this show, sorry to say, just some good metal, some bad metal, some numetal, and some kickass metal. Can't wait to see BASB again.

toggletoggle post by Arthur_ATD nli at Dec 6,2005 8:46am
i don't know where the idea that we're chicks came from, but eh whatever. dosen't really bother me. I think we woulda been fine playing anywhere on that show, as long as it wasn't after BASB

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at Dec 6,2005 8:48am
stoic is on wonderdrug records

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 6,2005 8:49am
you guys have obviously missed the fact that everything that nick toc types is either too long or a joke that no one gets.

toggletoggle post by Arthur_ATD nli at Dec 6,2005 9:06am
guess i'm just not used to toc's humor yet.
