[QUOTE="Headbanging_Man:1333274"]Ugh, so much unintentional mixage of decades! I love 80's style Sword and Sorcery fantasy, but speaking strictly of 50's/60's Sword and Sandal, I enjoy a lot of what I've seen. I think Steve Reeves, Mark Forrest, and Richard Harrison are the most memorable of the muscle-men leads. I can't say ANY of these flicks escape the basic narrative form, but there's still a lot of fun Technicolor nonsense worth exploring. Hercules The Giant of Marathon Two Gladiators Giants of Rome Hercules: Prisoner of Evil Mole Men Against the Son of Hercules Hercules Against the Moon Men Hercules in the Haunted World Knives of the Avenger (another Bava, no fantasy elements but a fine little period/action flick nonetheless) Goliath and the Vampires Rome Against Rome (aka War of the Zombies) Son of Samson The Last of the Vikings Mill Creek's Warriors 50-film set is a good way to get a bunch of these on the cheap, though there are some real clunkers in the set and a few of the titles have received better looking releases (from Something Weird and Retromedia mainly).
