They don't liek zee vibrant colours as much. although i was half kidding with my above comment, its sort of true having a big black kit onstage just looks more menacing on a serious note, i stripped all the shells off my ghetto drums and spray painted the wood matte black and believe it or not, it looks AWESOME. some parts of the wood absorb more of the paint so it sort of highlights the wood grain, i.e. the dark parts of the grain are shinyer and the lighter parts are more matte. im still debating whether im gonna do this when i get my custom 20" pair of bass cannons, or just stain them black (black powder coat hardware as well hahaha)
