A review... "Spain is putting out more and more acts that I like. You have the horror-themed grind of MACHETAZO to the CRYPTOPSY-beating insanity of WORMED. FERMENTO is yet another Death Metal band that I'm going to add to my list of "Bands that I'm going to kidnap from Spain and force to play in my basement should I ever get a chance." FERMENTO's sound is pretty easy to get down. Get the general riffing and structure of Domination-era MORBID ANGEL, throw in the percussion and blasting of IMMOLATION, the deeper, gurgling vocals of WORMED (with some more coarse and coherent screeches to compliment the gurgling vocals), and mess around with the war theme of BOLT THROWER and you'd get FERMENTO. The drumming is top notch, never missing a beat and pounding away with incessant speed and the vocals are varied enough to hold interest and sometimes come across as coherent. However, I ain't kidding on that Domination-era MORBID ANGEL influence. Sweet Christ I get a feel of a more brutal and faster MORBID ANGEL off Insignia. At first I was a bit apprehensive: I was never a big fan of Domination and usually I stuck to Blessed Are The Sick for my MORBID ANGEL kicks. However, FERMENTO takes all the best parts of Domination and eviscerates the bad, keeping the album fresh and fast. March of The Brute is what Where The Slime Live should have been. Fuck, I love this album. Get Insignia now, it will go nicely with WORMED and MACHETAZO in your growing Spanish Metal collection."
