[band=the_bruisers]: since they are basically both legends and from my town, I had to come down to their reunion. These guys broke up like 7 years ago AER (after elvis room) approximately at the same time as the elvis room's downfall. that was around the time that music as we know it on the seacoast for the most park ended. well, they are back for this one of show. it was bassed around the Dropkick Murphy's appearance on conon o'brien and their tour. who was that on stage? Al Barr (dropkick murphys) vocals Jeff Morris (dropkick murphys) guitar Scotty Vierra guitar Dan Connors drums Mike Savitkas (he's in some band, i just can't remember) they played for for almost an hour and a half, with just about every single track that I could think of them playing (no two boots or independence day but hey, they have 10 years of work or play from). Buhdda (blood for blood) introduced the band and when Al came out, he said something like "I see you all shaved your heads today" and then they cut into in american night. he was immediately down in the crowd singing along with everyone. the rest of the set was full of people yelling inside jokes, singing along, and having a good time. the whole stage was surrounded by friends and family and a lot of people I had just seen at skatefest. such a good time. it actually made me want to attend a dropkick show at some point... which... I probably won't do, but whatever. they ended their set with a 3 song encore. they brought buddha back out of "iron chin" to sing with them. and the last song a very fitting "til the end" had so many people come out on stage to sing with them. rulage to the end.
