a simple complex: I know that they did a cover song, but I had to ask someone to find out what it was, sabbath. I knew the riffs, but that was it. the song after that sounded like that "jump the fuck up" song or whatever. a lot of the other stuff they did was oldschool thrash.

candy striper death orgy: their set started off innocently enough... bu then arrick's set started to come apart. people rushed in to help him, but they were unable to stop the cymbol from crashing over on him. it's always interesting to watch a drummer trying to fix his set while it's coming apart AND still play the songs. At some point, I want them to put out a CD so that they will be forced to write another CD worth of music. They played one new song, but it had no lyrics. My adivce, hurry up. once the bush regieum is over, there won't be nearly as much stuff to write about.

jacknife: I wanted to hate them because of the dumb name, I really did. unfortunately, they were really good. not too many melodic parts, not too many break downs. they are from dallas and were part of the tour package. for some reason, the entire audience for them was all screaming girls. Even lynne was up front there getting into it.

crisis: I didn't like any of my pictures until crisis came on. they played really good, but almost every song was off the new CD. I'm not a real big fan of the new CD. I would have liked to have heard more of the older stuff. karyn's hair is absolutely crazy. she's got brian fair so beat when it comes to length. Once, during their set, karyn put her hand on lynne's head, but I missed the shot (my camera got confused focusing with the "shiney" metal they have put up in the bombshelter.

Method of Destruction (M.O.D.): by this time, it was way too late. I was trying to think of a way to "bow out" early from their set, but once they started, I knew I really couldnt. for those of you who don't know, nuclear blast pulled the tour money for this little tour 3 weeks before they headed out of the road. an old label of MOD, megaforce fronted the money for the van, scott (guitarist) loaned a bunch of green, and billy's mom gave $$ for her son to buy shirts. because of that, their latest CD is on their website to be downloaded freely by anyone. they played the same set as the last time they came around. On the setlist show, I don't think they played speak english or die. also, they played bubble butt 3 times. why? cause that kirsty ally show "fat actress" paid for the rights to use it in the TV show. it was as fun of a show as you might have thought. milano calling everyone rubba heads, telling non-pc stories, jokes about michael jackson etc... they also play the beginning of some ozzy and alice n chains (which billy sang/whined along to). the best thing is that he told a story about lee ving (of fear) before playing "living in the city" and the punchline was that lee ving and billy are myspace buddies.
